The International Centre for Creative Writing Research (ICCWR) conducts many many events and activities. These events include video-linked worldwide seminars and conferences, online chats, workshops, creative and/or critical exchanges, 'on-site' readings, conferences, seminars, workshops and talks (originating in the UK, the Centre also has considerable involvement from those in the USA and Australasia, and increasingly from those working in Asia, Africa and continental Europe). At present, events are conducted in the English language; however, there is no reason events could not be conducted in other languages, and we welcome all suggestions for events and activities.
The ICCWR is non-institutional - meaning, it is not a Centre "based-at . . . ", the "property of . . . ", or the "Centre located in . . . ". Rather, the ICCWR works through international collaboration and mutual exchange. The ICCWR's remit is to openly investigate knowledge, understanding and experience in the field of Creative Writing. The word "research" is seen to entail both creative practice and critical understanding.
